pin Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Three Oaks Digital, LLC ("we", "us") about your use of the pin app for iPhone and Android and its related services, including cloud backup and shared report pages (together, "pin"). By creating an account, starting a subscription or using pin, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use pin.

Please read these points in particular

pin is a tracking tool, not a medical device, and doesn't give medical advice. You and your prescriber make every decision about your medications.
pin's dose and mixing guides only convert the dose your prescriber gave you. Always check the result with your prescriber or pharmacist before you take a dose.
pin requires a paid subscription, which renews automatically until you cancel it through Apple or Google.
Disputes are settled by individual arbitration, not class actions, unless you opt out (section 17).

1. What pin is

pin helps you keep a record of the medications you take (such as testosterone, peptides, GLP-1s and hormone therapy), along with doses, injection sites, schedules, supply, costs, daily check-ins, body metrics, lab results, goals and progress photos. It can remind you when a dose is due, show trends, estimate typical medication levels from the doses you log, and build reports you can share with your doctor.

pin does not sell, prescribe, supply or recommend any medication, and doesn't check whether a medication is right, safe, approved or legal for you.

2. Not medical advice

pin is for information and record-keeping only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition. Three Oaks Digital, LLC is not a healthcare provider, and using pin does not create a doctor–patient or any other healthcare relationship.

Everything pin shows you, including reminders, estimated levels, lab ranges and flags, trends, cost figures, reports and AI answers:

is based only on information you entered or connected;
is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a medical professional;
can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

Don't use pin as a substitute for professional medical advice, and never start, stop or change a medication or dose because of something pin shows you without talking to your prescriber. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

3. Dose and mixing guides

pin includes guides that convert the dose your prescriber gave you into an amount to draw, take or apply, for example the volume or syringe units for an injection, or how much water to add when mixing a medication, as your instructions say. These guides:

only convert the dose and instructions you enter; they never recommend a dose, a mixing amount or a schedule;
depend completely on you entering the correct medication, strength, volume and units;
may not account for your syringe, device, medication or circumstances.

You are responsible for checking every amount with your prescriber or pharmacist before you take it. Reminders depend on your phone's settings and may be delayed or missed, so don't rely on pin as your only reminder for a medication that is important to take on time.

4. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI: reading a prescription label or lab report from a photo, the AI body scan of your progress photos, and pin Guide. Each asks for your permission before anything is sent, as described in our Privacy Policy.

AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Check every value read from a label or lab report against the original before you save it.
The AI body scan gives a visual estimate, not a measurement or a medical assessment.
pin Guide answers questions about using pin and about your own tracking. It is not a doctor and doesn't give medical advice.
Don't send photos of other people, or content you don't have the right to share.
Daily limits apply to AI features, and we may change, limit or remove AI features.

5. Who can use pin

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. pin is for your own personal, non-commercial use. If you track medications for someone else, such as a family member, you must have their permission and you are responsible for their information.

6. Your account

You need an account to subscribe and to use cloud backup, AI features and shared reports. Give accurate information, keep your password secret, and tell us at support@threeoaksdigital.net if you think someone has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

7. Subscription and free trial

Paid subscription required. pin is available with a monthly or annual subscription, which includes all features. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Billing. Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their terms. We never receive your payment card details.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and you are charged for the next period, unless you cancel. On Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. On Google Play, cancel before the period ends.
Free trial. If Apple or Google offers you a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends (on Apple, at least 24 hours before). Free trials are generally for new subscribers only.
Cancelling. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (Settings → "Manage Subscription" in pin takes you there). You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we can't issue them directly.
Price changes. We may change prices. Apple or Google will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your agreement before a price increase applies to you.
Without an active subscription you can't use pin's features, but the data on your phone stays there, and you can still export it or delete your account from Settings.

8. Your data

You own the information you enter in pin. You give us permission to store, process, back up and display it only to provide pin to you, to provide the features you choose (including sending information to our service providers as our Privacy Policy describes), to keep pin secure, and to comply with the law. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your data is stored on your phone unless you use cloud backup. You are responsible for keeping your phone and its backups safe, and for backing up if you want to keep your data when you change or lose your phone. We may make aggregate statistics about how pin is used (for example, how many people use a feature) that don't identify you, and use them to run and improve pin.

You can export your data and delete it, or your whole account, from inside the app at any time.

9. Shared reports

When you generate a report, you can share it with a private link. Anyone with the link can open the report until you delete it, so share it only with people you trust, such as your doctor. You decide who receives it and are responsible for sharing it.

10. Apple Health, Health Connect and other services

pin can connect to Apple Health or Google Health Connect if you choose. Those services, the app stores, and the other services pin relies on (such as Apple, Google, OpenAI and our cloud provider) are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for them, for data you share with them directly, or for their availability.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use pin to break any law, including laws about prescription and controlled medications;
copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of pin, except where the law allows;
try to get around subscriptions, usage limits or security, or access anyone else's account or data;
overload, disrupt or attack pin or the services it uses, or use bots or scraping;
use AI features to create harmful, unlawful or misleading content, or to try to make them give medical advice or ignore their rules;
resell, rent or offer pin to others, or use it to run a business or clinical service.

12. Our intellectual property

pin, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the "pin" name, belongs to Three Oaks Digital, LLC or our licensors. Subject to these Terms and an active subscription, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use pin on devices you own or control. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.

13. Changes to pin

We regularly update pin and may add, change or remove features. We'll try to give notice of changes that significantly reduce what your subscription includes. Some updates may be needed to keep using pin.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, pin is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise that pin will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that reminders will always be delivered, that calculations, estimates, lab ranges or AI output will be accurate, or that your data will never be lost.

Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Three Oaks Digital, LLC and its owners, employees and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or health outcomes, arising from or related to pin or these Terms, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims related to pin or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for pin in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

16. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify Three Oaks Digital, LLC against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by others that arise from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of pin, or information you entered about another person or shared through a report.

17. Disputes and arbitration

Talk to us first. If you have a problem with pin, email support@threeoaksdigital.net. Most issues can be solved that way. Before starting any formal claim, you and we each agree to try for 30 days to resolve it informally.

Binding individual arbitration. If it isn't resolved, any dispute arising from or related to pin or these Terms will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration can take place by video or phone, or in person in Oklahoma or the county where you live. Fees are paid as those rules provide. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may ask a court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.

No class actions. You and we each agree to bring claims only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and the arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person.

Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing support@threeoaksdigital.net with your name, the email on your account, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out doesn't affect the rest of these Terms.

If any part of this section is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (but no other) will be decided in court under section 18.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, you also keep any protections the laws of your country give you that can't be changed by agreement.

19. Ending these Terms

You can stop using pin at any time, and delete your account in Settings → Delete Account & All Data. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we stop offering pin (in which case we'll give reasonable notice where we can). Sections that by their nature should continue, including 2, 3, 4, 8, 12 and 14–18, continue after these Terms end.

20. App Store terms

If you downloaded pin from Apple's App Store:

These Terms are between you and Three Oaks Digital, LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for pin or its content.
Your licence is limited to using pin on Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for pin.
If pin fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for pin.
Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or anyone else relating to pin, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending or settling any claim that pin infringes someone's intellectual property.
You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded pin from Google Play, Google's terms for Google Play also apply to your purchase.

21. General

We may update these Terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using pin after that, you accept the updated Terms. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about pin. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't waived it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of our business. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
